Myopia Prevention for Children!
To halt the global increase of myopia, we are conducting research on our novel violet light theory. Our dream is to protect children from myopia through our new myopia prevention method and clinical applications. Besides medical approaches, we believe there exist factors in our lifestyles that worsen myopia, for which we will offer evidence-based solutions. Myopia, especially high myopia, is a risk factor for blindness. Our goal is to protect children from myopia and offer them a life with healthy vision.
Development of Innovative Treatment for Dry Eye
Based on the knowledge of our founding scientist, Professor Kazuo Tsubota, we are working on the development of innovative treatments, prevention and medical devices for dry eyes. An evidence-based dietary supplement for prevention and also simple diagnostic tools have been developed. Our challenge is to continue the development of a patent-pending novel medical device to moisten the eyes.
Innovative Solutions for Presbyopia
Presbyopia can be considered as a sign of aging, not only in eyes but for the entire body. It is thought to come about inevitably due to aging, and "reading glasses" remains the most common solution recommended by clinicians. We are developing anti-oxidant supplements for the prevention of presbyopia, as well as measurement techniques for stiffness of the crystalline lens.
